Single bedroom

We have a bright, modern house in Hollingbury, with 2 ground floor bedrooms to let. There’s a large garden front and back and easy parking in front of the house (no permit needed).

The bedrooms are separated from the rest of the house, (the other bedrooms are upstairs), so that gives you more privacy.

The house is very close to 4 main bus routes - 24/26/46/5B, so getting in and out of town or to the universities is quick and easy.

The house is open plan and has all the usual amenities you’d expect. We have a fast broadband connection & all bills are included. We also have 2 friendly cats (who don’t come into the bedroom area).

The single room (the double is taken) is spacious. Isn’t a box room! Has a single bed, desk, wardrobe, shelves and 2 seater sofa in it and faces out to the side of the house, so is very private.

We’re a 54yr old couple, Gianni is a bus driver and Lou is an illustrator, who works from home. We’re pretty quiet as a couple and enjoy film, galleries and meals out. I’d describe us as relaxed, up beat and friendly.

We’re looking for a new lodger, as our previous PhD student has just moved abroad to complete his research project. We have another lodger, who is a languages teacher. .

If you’re looking for a party household, this isn’t the place for you! We’re ideally looking for a lodger, who is considerate, independent & mature. We’ve had a few lodgers who have been post grad students, as the house is great for studying and is close to the Uni’s.

Finding the right person is important to us, as we like everyone to be comfortable and happy.
