Room in spacious shared house, Saffron Walden

The room is 3 m 60cm X 3m 10 cm. It is on the ground floor opposite the kitchen so would not suit night workers or a very light sleeper (the price reflects this). The house is large and shared areas include kitchen, dining room, living room, 2 bathrooms and utility room. We are in the suburbs of Saffron Walden, there is a small parade of shops just a minute's walk away (including a post office and takeaway food) and a Tesco express 5 minutes walk away. It's 15 minutes walk to the town centre and 5 minutes to the countryside. Smoking is acceptable in the garden.

Rent includes absolutely all bills and a few other basics such as laundry detergents, loo roll, bread and milk etc.

We are a very happy, close, friendly house. Be assured that although the landlady lives here (me!) this is very much a communal house. Ideally we are looking for a long term let.

We have a dog, Daisy, who is young, boisterous and very loving, and as I am a dog walker I occasionally have other dogs here to stay so it is essential that you like dogs.

We are looking for someone who is kind, reliable, tolerant, compassionate, and caring. Someone who will mostly tidy up after themselves but not mind if things are occasionally messy. Someone who enjoys other people's company but who is also independent.

We are far from perfect, and we are not eco-warriors, but everyone in our house cares about the environment, human rights, animal rights, fairness, equality and diversity.
