The Room: Spacious double room, fully furnished with masses of storage.

The Home: Fully furnished, large home on two floors in heritage listed building, central heating, kitchen with range cooker and dishwasher, washing machine, two bathrooms, lounge and dining room, garden with summer house.

The Dog: Pogue is our awesome dog. She is 8 years old and even though she loves to tear around on the beach and explore on long walks, she’s also very calm inside the house, has plenty of love to give and an insatiable appetite for belly rubs.

The Village: Kinghorn is a lovely seaside town, which is easily accessible by train or bus. With a co-op shop, butcher, baker, chippie, Chinese takeaway, multiple cafes and restaurants, three pubs, wool and knit shop, artists cooperative and charity shop, Kinghorn really does have everything you might need! You’ll find a larger variety of shops and services in the neighbouring town of Kirkcaldy (3miles away.) There are lovely coastal walks and two beaches for exploring as well as the ecology centre up near Kinghorn Loch.

About Us: We are Alice, Emily and Pogue (the pooch). We are a couple and have been living in Kinghorn for over two years. Alice works for the NHS and Emily is an artist. We can be usually found spending time with a friend or two, or at home relaxing. We love getting out and about exploring. If it involves a tent, we are definitely in! We’ve been pretty fortunate ladies and have managed to do a fair whack of travelling and would love to do more. Our friends are very important to us: we love them dearly indeed. We very much appreciate time to ourselves but are social creatures and enjoy sharing experiences with great people. We are pretty easygoing but won´t tolerate nonsense. We have an awesome dog who we love WAY too much! We appreciate random acts of kindness and prefer that folk treat each other with respect and dignity.

Our home is a haven & we are searching for flatmates that will respect our privacy just as we will theirs. Alice’s work involves night as well as day shifts and Emily works from home in her studio for the most part of the week. Home is a calm and peaceful place but we do also love to have a bbq/ garden/dinner party here and there.

On Tuesday nights Emily hosts a professional drawing class in our living room between 7-9pm. What this means is that between these hours, the Living/dining room will not be accessible and there will be a group of up to 10 artists here, all of whom are known and trusted individuals. You would be welcome to join the group.

Looking for: an organised and tidy, honest, straightforward and kind flatmate to rent a room with a couple and one other. If you are interested we would like to know a bit about you before making time to meet.
