Double room to rent in Brighton.

Hi, we are 2 people living in a 3-bedroom house near Preston Park. Sadly, our housemate got stuck in Europe and had to move out ☹ So we are looking for a lovely lady to take the room. It is a small double, dimensions: 337cm by 237cm (plus 40cm alcove to the width making it 277cm).

It can be part furnished or unfurnished, your choice. A single and a double bed are available, and the room currently has a chest of drawers and a built-in cupboard, floor to ceiling with shelves. It is on the ground floor with a window to the garden.

We have electric cooker, gas hob, air fryer (which is amazing!), washer/dryer, Wi-Fi, good size kitchen with your own fridge freezer. Big bathroom with shower over bath and built in cupboard, communal lounge, and good size garden. There is a road nearby with free parking, the road itself is parking zone F, no waiting list.

Local amenities include Sainsbury's, Co-Op, café, pubs, convenience stores, off licence with free cash machine, petrol station. We are less than 5 minutes’ walk from Preston Park and a short walk from Fiveways.

We are both working, and I have my own business, so we have pretty busy and independent lives. It is not a party house! We are looking for someone who is kind, considerate, respectful and independent like us, who will be happy to move in and do their own thing and maybe occasionally have a meal together if we all happen to be home at the same time.

Our collective interests are reading, connecting with people, self-development, health and fitness, social/political issues, spirituality, meditation, music, piano, singing, outdoor fires, helping people, and finding ways to make the world a better place.

We would prefer a female housemate, but we are everything friendly and don’t discriminate on age, sexual orientation, race, gender or anything else. There is only room for one person so no couples please.
