Are you looking for affordable accommodation while being available 7.5 hours per week to provide practical support and some companionship to an elderly person? Would you like to share the home of a friendly older lady, who loves animals? She has an older cat, so an animal lover is a must!

A double room is available for the right Sharer. The house is located in a quiet residential area in Cheltenham, within easy reach of the Town Centre and walking distance from Pitville Park. The Sharer would have use of the lounge, dining room and kitchen, as well as the lovely garden. The property has an allocated parking space.

The Householder has mild Dementia and she is a very independent, cheerful person who enjoys her own space. Any Dementia experience would be welcomed.

A Sharer gives 7.5 hours/week of their time as support/companionship in lieu of rent. This will typically involve watching TV together, chatting over a cuppa and helping with cooking some light meals and light housework. The Householder would prefer a driver, someone who might be able to accompany her to appointments (working commitments allowing). Prompting her to do certain chores would also be helpful. Some help looking after the pets might be required occasionally (i. e. take to the vet). No personal care needed or allowed.

She already has a gardener, as well as Carers visiting every day. Having the reassurance of there being someone in the house at night is very important for her and her family.
