Homeshare Gloucestershire connects people looking for some companionship within the home (Householders) with those who would appreciate entering into homely accommodation with affordable rent (Sharers).

The Opportunity:
To share a home with a friendly and chatty 82 year-old lady, who loves social dancing, dogs and horses. She is a former ballroom dance teacher and horse riding trainer. The Householder loves dogs, she has a pug named Ralphie, so an animal lover is a must. A small and well behaved pet would be considered. She would welcome some companionship in the evenings, with someone willing to cook and share meals once or twice a week and well as occasional lifts if her family cannot help.

The House:
A three bed house with a single bedroom on offer. One room is already taken by a lodger who stays a few nights a week. The home is near Stonehouse and Stroud. There is shared access to bathroom, two toilets and plenty of parking available. The Householders son lives next door and her daughter visits regularly.

The Homeshare Agreement:
As part of this low cost living arrangement, you would give only 7.5 hours of your time each week in lieu of rent. On an average week, you’d spend the 7.5 hours spending time together, cooking meals or providing occasional transport. The lady is looking for someone who is likely to be around in the evenings during weekdays with the option of being away up to three weekends a month.
A contribution of £50/month is required from the Sharer, to go towards Council Tax and utility bills.
