Homeshare Gloucestershire connects people looking for some companionship within the home (Householders) with those who would appreciate entering into homely accommodation with affordable rent (Sharers).

The Opportunity:
To share a home with a friendly and chatty 76 year-old lady, who enjoys reading, crosswords and meeting new people. The sharer would ideally be a friendly, tidy and helpful person who would enjoy spending some time with the Householder. Chatting over a cup of tea and generally being home overnight would be the expectations of this agreement. The Householder loves dogs, so dog owners are encouraged to apply.

The House:
A small bungalow in a quiet village near Stonehouse with good public transport links. The home is 10 minutes’ drive to Stroud, 30 minutes’ drive to Cheltenham and Gloucester. The room available is a double bedroom with shared access to bathroom, lounge and kitchen area. There is parking available on the drive with access to a garage.

The Homeshare Agreement:
As part of this low cost living arrangement, you would give only 10 hours of your time each week in lieu of rent. On an average week, you'd spend the 10 hours of companionship chatting and watching TV. The Householder has a full package of care in place, carers visit three times a day, personal care is not expected by the Sharer. The lady is looking for the reassurance of having someone at home overnight, so the expectation of being home in the evenings would need to be met.

This is a position advertised on behalf of the Householder. We carry out reference checks and an enhanced DBS check prior to introducing you to the Householder.
