We are looking for a chilled out and awesome boatmate to join our large river barge (a gin boat in a previous life) moored on the Thames Path just down from Kew Bridge. It now houses four lovely people, 1 Cornish, 1 English, 1 Russian and 1 French, who all fancied living somewhere a bit different. We also share with a dog, Pluto. If you have a pet, bring them at the viewing so they can meet.

The boat has a large living/dining room with counter bar!! (from its days as a restaurant), a well equipped kitchen where we cook and bake, five bedrooms, a decent sized bathroom with bath and shower, and two separate toilets. We're connected to all the normal stuff from shore (gas, electricity, internet) - and yes we've got a washing machine. There is also an open top deck (with railings!) with plenty of seating, tables and a barbecue for when the weather is nice.

Your room is a double room.

Not being on a road means it's very quiet - you're far more likely to hear wildlife than traffic - yet it's still only 2 mins from a bus stop and 5 mins from Kew Bridge railway station (15 mins to Gunnersbury tube on the District Line and Overground).

The boat mates are lovely and very easy to get on with, with interests spanning climbing, cycling, skateboard, yoga, gardening, art, music, eating together, watching the occasional movie. The boat has a community feel to it and so would be nice for the new tenant to be part of it.

There's no smoking anywhere inside the boat - but you are welcome to use the outside space if you do.

Your rent includes all bills; we pay separately internet which is £4 per month per person. The landlord lives locally and is easygoing.
