Large Flat Barlow Moor Road - Amazing Location

Our roomate is moving out to move back home, so we're after someone new to fill her room.

The flat is a bit of a diamond in the rough, its a great size and location and we have made loads f improvements to make it a bit more homely.

However there are obviously reasons why its so cheap.

So firstly - Water - Basically the pipes are screwed so when the restaurant under us is open, we barely get any water and sometimes nothing comes out (of any taps). The landlord said we can all pay £100 less a month until its fixed and is 'trying' to sort it. But bless him he is a tad useless and it looks like its not a quick fix. This means showering is generally only fully working in the mornings/ after 10:30 at night.

Personally I don't find it too bad, but it does mean that you have to adjust your schedule a bit - showers and washing happens in the morning. And i just fill up a bottle of water for the evening, just in case.

The water comes in dribs and drabs, so it's fine for cooking and washing up - you just have to have a bit of patience.

The flat is above the row of bars and restaurants on Barlow Moor Road including strange brew, man bites frog and double zero pizza which is fab.

Also the bus stop is literally outside the front door which is great for getting back for the centre safely/cheaply at night. Tram is a 5-10 min walk from the flat as well as Chorlton centre and morrisons :).

The living room is really spacious for any furniture/books/guitars etc you might have.
There is a lower corridor where you can safely keep a bike.

The room comes with drawers, wardrobe, bed and mattresses. There's free parking on the roads behind ours, my flatmate use to leave his there ever day and didn't have any issues.

I really love the flat, its a bit dishevelled but that adds to its charm - its definitely not pretending to be anything its not. The carpets are a gorgeous muddy brown, so any rugs/decoration are v welcome.

The shower/bathroom is a bit bad, but its clean so that's one positive. The kitchen is genuinely falling apart, but its still functional.

We really love living here, its a great atmosphere so if your happy to look past this and are happy to help us decorate a bit then it's great.

We dont want to find people to just co-exist with, we want to find someon that ishappy to equally do things alone but are up for going out for some beers and cooking the occasional Sunday roast together. Also need someone who is happy to help do a weekly clean around the flat, and just generally is tidy-ish. Dont have to be cleaning all the time!

The bills are about £80each a month for Internet, electric, and gas and council tax is an extra £51 per month. (I've included that in the price) rent to be paid from 1st March.

I'd say this flat is perfect for friendly, relaxed people who dont mind trading in modern swanky luxuries (like hot water) in order to live cheaply in a great location with a great vibe.
