Our open, friendly, Christian house is a few minutes walk from the centre of Portswood. It's a clean, warm and well maintained 5 bedroom, 2 bathroom house spread over 3 floors. The room available is on the second floor, and is currently offered FURNISHED. A double bed is available, as is a selection of other furniture. The whole house is maintained to a good standard.

Downstairs, there is a well equipped kitchen/diner with a dining table, 2 fridges, microwave, multiple coffee methods and other gadgets - you'd be welcome to use it all. There is cupboard space if you'd like to store your own food. The lounge is comfortable with a few books and a TV with Amazon Prime and Chromecast. On the middle floor, there are 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. On the top floor, there is 1 attic bedroom. Outside, there is a small garden to the front and back. There's a small fire pit, outside chairs and some herbs too.

The £420 rent is just for the room and we currently pay around £125 each per months for bills. This varies each month, and is currently less as we're not needing heating to be on. There is fibre broadband and a landline phone because we're a bit 90's like that. Council tax is covered in this too.

There are currently 5 of us in the house - John who has been a follower of Jesus since he was born, Alice for 8 years, Jamie for 3 years and Tommy! We have Jesus in common, even though we are quite different people! Jamie is a student but keeps himself busy working in both construction and window cleaning around this, John works with Street Pastors overseeing all their admin and has a part-time carpentry side-hustle, Alice works with families who need help to make their homes happy places and Tommy creates and distributes certificates for special occasions at the registry office in addition to DJ-ing with his free time. We currently attend a variety of charismatic/evangelical churches across the Southampton area.

We enjoy spending time together, and you would be very welcome to socialise with us or come and go as you like. It's on each of our hearts for this house to be used for God's Kingdom in some way. So, through the week, there will be some gatherings for prayer, Bible discussion, meals, worship, discipleship... These times will be informal, serving either as a way to reach out to the city and share the truth, or to join together and be edified ourselves. We're excited to see where this goes and we'd love it if you'd like to join in, but there would be no pressure to. Lots to talk about...

We share meals some nights when we can. We talk, eat, watch movies, play games, go to the gym - all the normal stuff. You would be totally free to do whatever you'd prefer, so you could use what's in the kitchen and chip into the pot or go solo. Entirely up to you. As for hobbies, John enjoys cycling, Alice enjoys trips to the beach, Jamie loves a good spontaneous adventure and Tommy produces music. There's normally Christian music on somewhere in the house (not loud).

We have a reasonable cleaning rota, which helps us to keep the house tidy so we'd ask that you'd join in with that once you're settled here.
