We’re a couple in our 50’s, grown up children have now left us, rooms are revamped and it’s a shame not to share them! Its a huge, three storey Victorian house built c 1800’s where the top floor is free and ideal for Monday to Friday lodgers. This is our family home so we’re not a HMO. It’s not a party house at all but it is a happy, welcoming, kind house! My husband is ex army and not particularly PC (!) so you’ll need a great sense of humour!!! If you need a work space there’s a built in desk with lighting.

The main advantage about this room is the immense size and original features. It doesn’t feel like a bed in a box! It’s just been re-carpeted, painted & finished off with a thoroughly deep clean.

If you have a car, there’s free parking just outside on Stanhope Street which is one street away from bus routes. There are more busses in Whitecross.


We are ideally looking for someone who is working here full time during the week and needs somewhere quiet, clean & comfy to sleep , returning home at the weekends.
Our house might be built in 1880 but we’re equipped with all the mod cons....
