First-floor room in large Victorian house on a residential street off the high street, 10 minute walk from station (35 mins from Euston, 25 mins Milton Keynes, 15 mins Watford). M25 10 mins, M1 15 mins. Supermarkets, restaurants, gyms etc. 5 mins or less on foot. Parking is on the street and is fine before 8.30 am and after 6.30 pm, otherwise you will always find somewhere but perhaps up to a five-minute walk from the house.

The lodgers share a bathroom on the first floor with power shower, basin and bath. There is also a separate loo for the lodgers on the first floor (plus one on the ground floor if required), a large kitchen/dining room and a utility/breakfast room with washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board, fridge, kettle, microwave and toaster.

The room is fully furnished, including full-length mirror, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk and shelves. It has wireless broadband.

£100 supplement for a couple.

The rooms are available from Monday morning (or Sunday evening if required) to Friday early evening, only because we like to have the house to ourselves at the weekends. We sometimes have a random grown-up child or two staying over the weekend but you wouldn't have to move your stuff out.

We are a married couple in our sixties working from home, including running a dog-minding business - only friendly dogs and they're only allowed on the ground floor.

The room would suit someone working locally but with a permanent home elsewhere. Feel free to ring me with any questions but not if you want the room for the weekend as well :-)
