An intelligent, educated older person with reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

This person would value the friendly company, conversation and reassurance of having someone around their home in the evenings and overnight. The would also appreciate some light practical help with tasks they find trickier, from picking up shopping, taking he bins out, loading the dishwasher, carrying heavier items, some cooking/food prep and sharing some meals, simple IT and ad hoc other practical help and errands as might be useful.

The accommodation on offer is a spacious and airy furnished double room with ample storage and its own bath/shower room, and shared use of the kitchen, sitting room and garden. The property has fast broadband. It is a neat, tidy and well-presented home.

The property is 9 minutes’ walk to Bushey station (trains to Euston), a 15 mins bus ride to Stanmore (Jubilee Line) and close to the M1. There is parking.

The person is bright with a wide range of interests including the arts (opera, ballet, art galleries, museums), playing Bridge, crosswords, current affairs, their garden and flower arranging, history and music, listening to Radio 4, cooking and more besides.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests.
