The house decor and environment is best described as contemporary/cottage bohemian with beautiful subtropical garden.

There are 3 females and 1 male (two couples) currently living in the property: 56 years old and a complementary health therapist; and 41 years old secondary school teacher and a couple renting the smalling double room.

We are very laid back social people, and enjoy lodgers who are the same. But, also enjoy, understand and respect the need for personal space.

So, if you enjoy the social of conversation at the end of the day, the excuse for cooking and baking for others and/or cooking as a group with a glass of wine/beer/or tea with music in the background. Great! Or, if you fancy cooking for yourself, retiring to your room, reading a book in the garden or, snoozing in the hammock, you wont be disturbed...your preference!

Many of our previous lodgers have been students, teaching and other young professional from various countries such as France, Germany, Italy, Australia and Canada. This has made for a very exciting environment offering great opportunity for fantastic conversation, to eat amazing food from around the world and make new friends: the recipe a Happiness!....And, all our previous lodgers have said it due to these particular environmental qualities, their time as a lodger and in the UK has been made such fun...having dreaded or, previously experienced shared room rental accommodation that left them both locked in their room and isolated with other residence doing the same.

With this in mind, if your a person who both prefers and is seeking such quite solitude and seclusion, these rooms rentals are probably not for you.

We do have one dog but he is very friendly and would not go into your room.

All bills are included (excluding food) You would also have access to free internet. Sky TV is currently disconnected as we have discovered most young people prefer their laptops, but it can be reconnected and is available in main sitting room.

We are putting the house on the market but are not expecting it to sell quickly. Thus it maybe more suited to short term lodgers however, anyone taking the room is welcome to stay for as long it takes to sell.
