Lovely double room in a pretty cottage to rent with a great view over the village green. It has period features, a front garden with plants, back garden with lawn and plants/ flower beds, summer house and shed, washing machine, dishwasher and carpets. The room is furnished, including a double bed, and it has phone sockets and broadband connection. There is street parking and it’s 10 minutes from Chorleywood station on main Chiltern train line to London, 30 minutes to Marylebone, as well as the Metropolitan line tube, with Oyster prices and easy station parking, free after 8. 30 am.
The village is charming with a very friendly community and lots of social and sporting activities, plus it has a well-stocked village shop and post office.
I am a professional woman in my 40s and I would like to share with a woman, preferably professional. I am friendly, clean, tidy and considerate. I’m generally quiet and peaceful at home. I like to go out to socialise and dance – biodanza, Ceroc and tango. I do yoga and pilates and play tennis in the village. I love walking in the countryside, particularly as it is beautiful around here, including the Chess Valley, on the edge of The Chilterns with the river, fields and woods.
The EPC rating is F but improvements have been made since that was done, with thick loft insulation, cavity wall in insulation at the back, low energy lighting and temperature controls.
