Located in Great Ashby, I’m offering a bright double room that has space for a desk & exclusive use of separate bathroom/wc in a ground floor flat. Please take note ***Available 01 September 2022***

Rent includes ALL bills, you will not pay any additional costs apart from your own living expenses. Clearly with the cost of living I’m asking prospective lodgers to be respectful around this - I’m not expecting you to roam around in the dark but having lights on when it’s daylight or running water away means additional costs that can be saved & not passed on.

In no order of importance the room provides: Double bed, TV with app access to Netflix/Disney+/Amazon Prime subject to subscription, double wardrobe & chest of drawers. You will have sole access to the main bathroom with shower over bath, no morning fights over bathroom space!

Elsewhere: Super fast wi fi included. Shared kitchen with oven/hob, microwave, cupboard space set aside for you in the kitchen & fridge/freezer, washing machine. I can provide cutlery/plates/dishes. On road parking which is not restricted (if you’d prefer to use my allocated parking space, I’m happy to discuss). Happy to share lounge space which has a dining table.

I keep my place very clean & tidy, I also have a cleaner employed who attends once weekly.

Easy access to Stevenage town centre, trains to London. A1(M) jct 7/8 & on a bus route if you need any of that. Local shops approx 10 minutes walk away.

I do have a British blue cat, so if you have an allergy to pets or don’t like cats, this won’t work for you. On the whole the place is quiet & apart from when Liverpool are playing!

Please do some research around the pros & cons of sharing with a live in landlord if this would be your first time, which is very different to HMO or student digs. I’d rather we have a shared respect as our routines may not align & we all have our quirks! It would only be the 2 of us mainly, so no big issues for using kitchen space & as I tend to batch cook, if you come home at 5pm as an example, the kitchen will be free for you to use.

Due to the sensitive nature of my work, I can’t accept someone who will be working from home or a shift worker as I work mainly from home Monday to Friday.

I make good use of the nearby countryside by walking/running regularly, so if you do like to get out & about without a car, some lovely walks are close by. The Old Town with its restaurants & pubs is also a short distance away.

A bit about me - I’m easy going & whilst we don’t have to live like friends, if you like your sports, fantasy boxsets or films, we’ll get on well. Retro gamers warmly welcomed also (non gamers receive the same warm welcome) but your free time is yours & space to unwind will not be encroached.
