Want to live afloat? We live aboard a 200 foot Dutch Cargo Barge on the River Medway, which we are currently converting. We live in the hold of he boat with our Dog and Parrot.

We have a 2 bedroom apartment in The Captains Quarters of our home afloat, for your sole use, consisting of ;

Study with a double study bed,( a desk that converts to a double bed)
1 double room with built in double bed

Lounge/diner with a leather sofa, 2 leather tub chairs, dining table & chairs, ample storage.
A kitchen with stainless steel units and solid wood worktops, large butler sink, Calor gas freestanding cooker, a fridge and small freezer.
Utility area with a Samsung washing machine.
Bathroom with hip bath with shower over, vanity basin, mirror and storage.

You will have shared use of the outside rear deck.

Wifi & central heating provided.

Car parking, Bike store and Gate Entry Key, by arrangement with marina owners.

The boat is moored in a private secure gated Marina with outstanding views. If you want a peaceful relaxing home, with birds and boats as neighbours then this is for you. We are on tidal water so sometimes we are afloat or sitting on the mud.

Near to Chatham, Rochester, Maidstone, A2/M2, Regular bus service to Medway towns and London and good rail links.

Doctors surgeries, Local shops and Takeaways nearby.

The accommodation would suit single people or couples looking for the opportunity to live in this amazing space.
Ideally you would appreciate and respect your surroundings.
If you are looking for peace and quiet after a hard days work, this is for you.
Plenty of opportunities for canoeing, sailing, walking, birdwatching, photography.
Responsible for own cooking, cleaning .
Not suitable for babies or young children.
1 Dog by arrangement, we have a small dog and a parrot on board.
