My name is Lucy and I'm 27 and currently working full time as a student veterinary nurse and have a double bedroom available to rent in a 2 bedroom house in Maidstone.
The house is a 5-10 minutes walk away from Maidstone town centre and Maidstone East train station, along with good access to M20/A2/M25.
The room is unfurnished and located on the top floor at the back of the house so it gets lots of sunshine and minimal noise. The room is large enough to fit a double bed as well as wardrobe and chest of drawers or desk. This means at the end of the day you can go upstairs and have your own space away from the rest of the house giving you plenty of privacy.
The bedroom is opposite the newly refurbished white modern bathroom which has a bath with overhead shower and plenty of storage space
There is a good sized shared lounge/dinner with TV and broadline and all you can watch Netflix! I don't have a TV license but if this is something you would like then it can be looked into. I also have a bookshelf and dinning room table which you are more than welcome to utilise however you need it.
There is also a large shared kitchen including fridge freezer, washing machine, oven, microwave and kettle with plenty of cupboard space for storage. All kitchen utensils are availble for you to use including bowls, plates and cutlery as well as pots and pans and a well stocked spice cupboard.
You are more than welcome to bring your own things to add to living room and kitchen as want my new flatmate to feel at home.
There is on street parking that requires a permit (£25) which is easily obtainable from council. I also have a visitor parking permit for when people come over.
Rent is £350 and bills come to approx £100- So in total you would be looking at £450 a month. I am a tenant of the property and it is let through an estate agent so deposits (£525) referencing fees (£120) and contract fees (£75) will apply. Couples are welcome for no additional cost to the rent.
I am friendly and sociable and I love to cook and usually make enough for 4 people. I spend most of my evenings binge watching Netflix but the occasional pub outing is always appreciated as well! I also have an indoor cat.
I'm hoping to offer someone a home environment that they can feel relaxed and comfortable in. Sharing a bottle of wine is always great but the house is spacious enough to provide you with your own space if you need that too.
If this sounds like the kind of house you are looking for please feel free to message me either by text or through spareroom and I can give you any further details you need. Please note due to my working hours I may not be able to take calls and it may take a few days to respond but I will endeavour to reply to any messages as quickly as possible. If you could provide some information about yourself when you contact me, particularly outside of spareroom, that would be greatly appreciated 😊
Thanks!
Lucy
