Hi!
We’re Libby (she/her) and Imogen (she/her), a lesbian couple who bought our first flat last year. It’s still a bit of a work in progress, but we absolutely love living here and are now looking for a lodger to join us in our spare room.
The Flat
We’re located in St. Andrew’s Square and by Glasgow Green, so it’s super central with great transport links. Despite that, the street is generally quiet — apart from the occasional big weekend like TRNSMT or the World Pipe Band Championships!
The flat is south-facing and a suntrap on brighter days, especially in the living room. It’s split over two floors and has three bathrooms. Since we have an en-suite, the main upstairs bathroom (with shower and bath) would mostly be yours, aside from when we have guests.
There’s free non-permit parking about 3 minutes walk away (potential for something closer to be discussed).
The Room
The available room is the largest bedroom in the flat, with two south-facing windows. Through a gap between neighbouring buildings, you can see Glasgow Green.
It comes furnished with:
• Double bed
• Chest of drawers
• Wardrobe
• Desk & Chair
There’s plenty of scope to make the space your own. We’re happy to discuss your furniture requirements though ideally you wouldn’t bring lots of large items that would be difficult to store or swap with items above. We’ll be freshening the walls with paint prior to agreed move in date. The room is downstairs, giving you a good sense of your own space within the flat.
About Us
Libby is an engineer who loves motorbikes and rugby. She’s very friendly (more than she’d admit!) but does value her post-work decompression time. She’s also a great cook. She works from home Mondays and Fridays.
Imogen is a designer who enjoys creative projects, being outdoors and going for the occasional pint. She works fully remote, and we have a shared office upstairs where we both work from when at home.
We enjoy having weekend trips away in our little van, socialising with friends and Gaming, crafting and sofa-based downtime
This isn’t a party house. We occasionally have people over and it might run a little late once in a while, but it’s not a regular thing. We’re happy to chat and be friendly, but there’s no pressure for constant socialising. We respect everyone having their own routine and space.
About You
Rather than a checklist, we’re looking for someone who feels like a good fit.
Ideally you are:
• A working professional or mature student
• Not working fully remotely
• Independent with your own routine
• Tidy and respectful (but not intense about it!)
We’d love someone who might enjoy the occasional shared meal or pint, but who is equally happy doing their own thing.
A few practical bits:
• Well-behaved pets considered (sadly no rodents due to allergies)
• No dietary preference, we both eat meat.
• Our preference would be an LGBTQIA+ lodger.
If this sounds like it could be a good fit, we’d love to hear from you. Thanks for reading!
