Double Room for Rent in Hyndland

I'm Sophie, one of the current flatmates of this property who is looking to move out.

The flat is situated in Glasgow's West End, specifically in Hyndland. You're about a 5 minute walk from Hyndland station, and also from Hyndland shops and cafes such as Peckham's and Jelly Hill. You're also just a 10 - 15 minute walk from Byres Road. There's plenty of free parking outside the flat, so if you drive, it's ideal! If you cycle, there's also a cycle path that heads right up into the entrance of the development.

The flat has two double bedrooms, one bathroom, a large living room and kitchen plus a good deal of storage space. One of these bedrooms is up for rent, mine! I've provided photos of all these spaces above. The room itself is furnished so you'll have the bed and mattress, the book shelf, two bedside tables and lamps, the chest of drawers, mirror, curtains and cork board. The desk and desk chair are mine, and coming with me, as well as the plastic drawers and monitor sitting on there. With the room, you also have the larger cupboard in the hallway, which I've labelled, that has a hanging rack within so you can pop anything you need to hang up in there. There's also space in there for other storage if you need it!

You'll be sharing with Samantha, a lovely teacher who is a fantastic roommate. If you're interested in literature, writing, history and/or films, that's a bonus as you'll have some interests in common! We're a pretty chilled out flat about most things, including cleaning, but a new roommate would have to be respectful and tidy/clean in communal spaces but please don't worry about being a neat freak! We're really just asking for somebody nice and respectful but that is also up for socialising now and then, when you're comfortable with that!

The landlord does not accept pets, or smoking. We'd also ask for a working professional as we do need to pay council tax, too!

With council tax and all bills, your half comes to £140 - 150 a month, sometimes a little higher in Winter. With your rent on top, that's about £473 - £483 a month, which is really cheap for the heart of the West End.

I'm hoping to move out before the 13th of February, which is when rent is due for the upcoming month. If you're able to move in a few days before, or on that date, that would be fantastic!
