Hello! We're looking for a new housemate to join our fantastic house in Angel, as I’m leaving to due to getting a new job out of the area. The room is available from mid-late June (with potentially a little flexibility). I've had a wonderful time in this house; the building has loads of character and my housemates have made me feel right at home.
The room:
Very bright bedroom on the second floor of a big five bedroom house. It's on the smaller size but by no means cramped. Fully furnished with double bed, bedside table, chest of drawers, bookshelves and large wardrobe. The window looks out at the skyline and lets in loads of light. It's a peaceful room because it does not face the road. Best of all, it's freshly painted!
The house:
Georgian-style house near Regent’s Canal in Angel. 4 floors, 5 bedrooms. Living room and kitchen in lower level. Dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, oven with separate grill, 2 fridges. There's one large bathroom with separate shower and bath - though we share it between 5, it's rarely a problem with our different morning schedules. There's also a small toilet on the ground floor. There’s a garden behind the house with wooden table/chairs and BBQ. There's fast broadband wifi, and a cleaner comes once a week.
The area:
It’s a fantastically-situated area. We’re on a quiet street directly off City Road, halfway between Angel and Old Street, and directly behind Regents Canal.
You're walking distance from all the amazing bars, restaurants and shops of Angel and Shoreditch. We’re 5 min walk from Angel tube, 10-12 min from Old Street tube, 1 min from the canal. A bus stop with transport to most corners of London is 30 sec away (205, 43, 214, 394, including night buses). A bike share station is on City Road near the bus.
There are some great local pubs, plus a Co-Op, Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Tesco, M&S, Chapel Market, N1 Shopping centre, VUE Cinema, and Upper Street all within a 10 minute walk.
The rent:
It's £760 pcm + bills
It's a private landlord. You’ll need to give him a security deposit of roughly £800 and pay a £50 admin fee to transfer my name to yours on the contract. It's a really easy set-up. The current contract runs until Sept 2019 at which point it will roll over as long as you and the other flatmates are happy. If for any reason you want to leave earlier, you can simply get somebody to take over the tenancy, as I’m doing.
Bills are roughly £90 per month and that includes everything; council tax, gas, electricity, broadband, water, cleaner, etc.
We're looking for a sociable and friendly person who's respectful of others.
If you’re keen, please get in touch! Tell us a bit about yourself, and we'll arrange a time for you to come round and meet everyone and see the house.
Many thanks,
Karl
