Big and Bright Double Room in Angel

Ad ref# 12963295

Hello!

I’m sadly leaving my bright and big double room in Angel Islington as I’m moving out of London, so we’re now looking for a new person to join our household from the start of August (dates flexible). The new tenant will be joining a group of 4 independent sociable flatmates, all in their mid-twenties and thirties. Although we all have fairly busy lives, we do enjoy occasionally watching TV together in the living room or going to a local pub for a pint and some food. Therefore we’re looking for someone friendly and respectable to take over my room!

The house is a big Georgian-style maisonette on a quiet street about a 10-minute walk from Angel station and shopping centre. The living room and the kitchen are in the basement floor, where you can also find a dishwasher, a washing machine, a tumble dryer, 2 ovens, 2 fridges and a little patio! My room is on the ground floor together with a toilet and another bedroom. The bathroom (with a shower and a bathtub!) and the rest of the rooms are located in floors 1 and 2. Although we share the bathroom between 5 people, it's rarely a problem with our different morning schedules.

The room is BIG and has beautiful high ceilings and a very big bright window. It comes fully furnished with a bed, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a sofa table, a night stand and a desk with a chair). It will have plenty of space for extra stuff, as I will be taking the arm chair and the book case when I move out.

The street is quiet and peaceful and only minutes away from the Regent’s canal. There’s a Co-op is only minutes away and a big Sainbury’s/Waitrose/M&S at Angel central 10 minutes away. A bus stop is also right around the corner (buses 205, 43, 214 and 395). Angel is an amazing place to live as you have plenty of shops, restaurants and bars right at your door step! You’ll also have several gyms nearby. Old street and Shoreditch are a short bus drive/walk away.

You’ll be sharing a flat with 4 amazing house mates: David (from New Zealand, a lawyer), Rachel (British, works in the arts), Farid (British, works in something he’s explained to me a hundred times that has something to do with computers) and a third person who will be moving in at the end of June (our fourth flatmate Karl is moving out as he got a job in West London).

Finally, the rent is £790 per month plus bills (approx. £100 per month). The bills include council tax, internet, water, gas and electricity and a weekly cleaner. A deposit of £800 pounds is required, plus a £75 admin fee (goes directly to our private landlord). The contract runs from September to September but you can move out anytime as long as you find someone to take over the contract (as I’m doing now).

If you like what you’re hearing and seeing in this ad, please send me a message with a little description of yourself. As said, we’re looking for someone sociable and responsible and we’d like to make sure we find the best possible person! Viewings will be on the evenings of Sun 30th June and Tue 2nd July which will give you the chance to meet everyone and see the house yourself. I’m looking forward to hearing from you, please message me with any questions!

Many thanks,
Roosa
