Cosy double in townhouse on best street in Angel

Laurence, Helen and Ellie are looking for someone to replace me in our amazing house share in Angel, Islington. I’ve really enjoyed living here and will be sad to move out!

The move in date is shortly after Wednesday 8th May (viewings will be held on Wednesday 8th May).

Rent (which includes the water bill) totals £783 per month – it’s around £908 in total (including gas, electricity, council tax, a weekly cleaner and WiFi).

THE HOUSE
The house is a three story, terraced Georgian townhouse in a classic London architectural style. It’s located on the most expensive street in Angel, only a 5 minute walk from Angel Tube station (Northern line zone 1).

On the ground floor, there’s a separate living room and kitchen along with a utility room, garden and WC. On the first floor, there’s another bedroom (next to yours) and a bathroom. Finally, on the second floor, there are 2 other bedrooms. The house also has a large storage room, which leads onto the rooftop terrace.

THE LOCATION
We live on a quiet residential street just off bustling Upper Street, with its array of restaurants, boutique shops and parks. You’re also only a short (less than 5 minutes) walk away from a big Sainsbury’s – the biggest supermarket in central London.

Aside from Angel station, there is also the option of nearby Highbury & Islington station (Victoria line – night Tube – and Overground), as well as a number of buses which run both day and night.

THE HOUSEMATES
You’ll be living with one guy and two girls, who are between 24 and 28 years old. We’re a sociable house – group activities have included watching TV, doing yoga, playing board games, and just chatting.

We’re not really a party house (who likes cleaning up the mess afterwards anyway?) but we do enjoy having a drink together from time to time and/or going out.

In general, it’s a chill household but everyone maintains a good level of tidiness (which is massively helped by the weekly cleaner!).

THE ROOM
The room is a cosy, fully furnished double room with an innovative bunk bed layout. It comes with a double bed, desk (and desk chair), cupboards, lounge chair and clothes rack. Because the window faces the garden, the room is very soundproof – especially at night.

Although the room isn’t the biggest, you’re able to work from home and/or relax in the communal areas. Besides, the price point is amazing for an area like Angel!

THE BORING STUFF
The estate agency requires a deposit of £1000 as well as references. The tenancy is officially on a 12-month contract, but in practice is flexible and on a rolling basis – you’re able to move out mid contract if you find a replacement.

The house is Islington council tax band G.
