Hi there! We are a house of 3 female professionals looking to welcome a 4th housemate to replace our flatmate who has lived here for 5 years and has now been lucky enough to get onto the property ladder & buy her first place!
The room is available from 1st January 2021 and is in a large modern terrace located in a secure, gated complex just off of Upper Street in Angel, Islington. The house is split over 3 levels and is modern and bright with plenty of space, and an open-plan living room and kitchen. It comes with all the usual modern amenities including a small separate utility room with a washing machine and dryer. There is also a dishwasher, microwave and 2 fridges. The main communal bathroom is split between 2 of us who don't have en-suites, but it has a bathtub which you would be welcome to use. Whilst the property does not come with allocated parking, street parking is available by obtaining a permit from the council.
The location is amazing, being just off Upper Street with cafes/bars nearby and great transport links from both Angel and Highbury & Islington tube stations, which are only 8-10mins walk away. However, property is located on a quiet, residential side street off Upper Street, so there are no issues with noise disturbance from the main road. The best of both worlds!
Your room is a spacious double bedroom with a large built-in wardrobe and private en-suite bathroom. The room is available from 1st January 2021
About us: we are 3 friendly and easy going girls (2 Australians and 1 Brit) who enjoy a relaxed, drama-free house dynamic. On a typical week (outside of national lockdown) we tend to keep things low-key and quiet on the weeknights due to work, usually cooking, going to the gym or meeting friends out for dinner & drinks. On weekends we often hang out, be it a glass of wine & a movie, board games nights or go out as a group for dinner & drinks. Otherwise, we enjoy weekends away or meeting friends in the city. We have a lot of house pride and like to keep our place clean and tidy, but also have a regular cleaner. We're looking for someone who wants to be a part of our household long-term (ideally a year or more) who we can hang out with and call a friend!
Bills on top of the rent are ~£120/month, which includes council tax and utilities as well as a fortnightly cleaner, TV, Netflix and WiFi.
