Labrador lovers wanted

We’re looking for a friendly lodger that loves dogs for a bright double room in a three bed Semidetached house with garden on a quiet street in Barnet N11, NorthLondon (zone 4).

It is available from May for single occupancy. We are looking for someone for 12 months or above, ideally longer if things work out.

The rent is £600 per month including bills (council tax, gas, electricity, broadband, water, TV license, Netflix, cleaner). Instead of asking for extra money in a monthly basis for the basics as a toilet paper and kitchen roll, we just ask you to have your own washing detergent. Deposit £600 and references required. We own the property and you would be sharing with us , over 100 plants and a friendly Labrador dog – Rocky that is almost 9 years old.

It is very important for us that the person is interested in the room loves dogs and doesn’t feel an obligation to have a walk with Rocky or help us when for work commitments we are away from home, we travel often for work and usually we are away for an average of 10 days at least 6 times a year, we like rocky to be in his own house and keep his daily routine as the same as we are all together as a family,

THE ROOM: comes furnished with a new double bed and mattress, ikea wardrobe and a two seat sofa. There a double glazed window overlooking the back garden with 7 palm trees bringing you back to the hot Spain where I am from. There is not a desk and a chair as it is a complete refurbished room and I left the space in case of the new house mate has already their own desk, however I am more than happy to buy a new desk and chair as needed.

THE HOUSE: Bright, freshly decorated, with a sunny garden. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, large open-plan living/dining room space with fireplace, and a modern bathroom with walk-in shower. We like to keep the living room for our privacy, I work from home three days a week, however, of course you can use when we are not using it or we are not at home. There is washing machine, however, unfortunately our weekly cleaner has been off work for a while already, so we are happy to review room cost if you would like to do two hours weekly cleaner doing magic and to have a better quality life, we all need to clean as we go and be tidying up. We are very conscious of the environment and try to do as much as we can, we like to ask if you can please run washing machine once you have enough clothes for that, water is a benefit for all and we need to protect it. Free unrestricted parking in front of the house. No smoking in the house.

LOCATION: The house is 8 mins walk from Arnos Grove station (zone 4) or New Southgate trains zone 4 trains to Moorgate.

There are shops and cafes/pubs within a few mins walk on Arnos Grove St, and a lovely green space around the corner, Arnos Park with café and free tennis courts.

US: we are an affable and busy people. We are in -30s and 40s almost over now, identify as a gay couple, and we are from China and Spain. We have lived in London for over a decade. We are interested in cooking, travelling, karaoke and music. We are open minded about who We live with. We are looking for someone who appreciates a respectful and friendly living space. You must be dog friendly.

ACCESSIBILITY: There is no wheelchair access to the property. Front entrance has small step. The room for rent and the bathroom are 15 stairs to the first floor.
