Clara here. I am a tenant at D02 Du Cane Court with two other amazing women, Sofia and Rosa. We are all young professionals having graduated with degrees in performing arts in the last two years. We are looking for a new flatmate as a room in our flat room is going vacant because the previous tenant is moving in with their partner (!!!).
The vacant room is currently only occupied by a double bed and a built-in closet, and is situated on the second floor of the property. There is enough space to accommodate for a chest of drawers, a bedside table, and/or any other piece of furniture you would like to add. The window is overlooking an inner patio/courtyard where cars are seldomly allowed and serves as a bicycle parking area.
There is plenty of storage room in the property to store any other belongings that would not fit in the said room.
There is one bathroom in the flat with a modern stand-in shower, and there has never been a problem so far after nearly a year living in this space of people occupying the bathroom for an unnecessary amount of time.
The heating is included in the rent, and is really quite efficient, meaning the flat is nice and toasty during the colder winter months.
The kitchen has a considerable amount of storage space and all dishes are available to use for everyone in the flat. There is also the heavenly presence of a dishwasher and a washing machine.
The living room/dining room is spacious and comprises of two small sofas, a closet, and a table and chairs.
The flat is a 2-3 minute walk away from Balham tube and train station, giving direct access to the northern line and a 12-minute train ride straight to Victoria. There is a reception and a concierge 24/7 in the main building, ensuring the safe reception of any parcel you might be expecting as well as easy and quick access to any fixing that might be needed in the flat. The property is secure, there are patrols with dogs every day to ensure the safety of the residents.
There are plenty of shops only a 5-10 minute walk away such as Aldi, Sainsbury's, Superdrug, Boots, As Nature Intended, TK Maxx, Waitrose,... and about a 10-15 minute walk to both Wandsworth Common and Tooting Bec Common.
We are looking for someone to take the room no later than September 21st, who potentially has an interest in music (as much as we are respectful in terms of considerate practice times during the day, you can expect to hear people sing and play the piano and/or guitar rather often) and is considerate of others, respectful of cleanliness and ideally not much of a party-goer (or at least not partying in the flat) as we all have our 'muggle' jobs necessitating early alarms and a decent amount of sleep (and also we just enjoy spending time together in the evenings drinking cups of tea and playing Uno, hopefully you will too).
