Big double room, garden - Balham - LGBT housemates

Hi there! Our current flatmate is sadly leaving us to move into his own place, so we’re excited to find a new housemate for our home in Balham.

House:

It’s a phenomenal place to live! The house has four bedrooms over three floors, with tonnes of space/storage and a leafy, sunny garden which has been ideal for 2020. The room for rent is a good size (5 x 3.6 m) and is part-furnished. The room has a big wardrobe, a chest of drawers and two bedside tables. The bed, desk and bookcase in the photos sadly belong to the outgoing housemate but he may be able to sell you some of these. You’ll share a family bathroom ( on the same floor as your room with two other people and it comes with a rain shower and extra large tub.

The house has an open-plan living/dining room/kitchen with patio doors onto the garden. The kitchen has a new dishwasher, and there’s a separate utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. The garden has a gas barbecue, fake grass so it’s fairly maintenance free, but space to grow things if you’re feeling green fingered next spring (we’ve been growing tomatoes!)

Us/You:

We are three gay guys (two consultants and a software developer) who have our own lives but enjoy hanging out together. During the evenings, you’ll often find us in the living room watching TV together and enjoying a gin and tonic - we’ve got a wide range of TV and movie tastes, from Drag Race to University Challenge and everything in between. We're not a regular party house but have done a few small things throughout the year for special occasions. We love a night out at The Two Brewers (sat down in our bubble for now) and enjoy having a summer (and maybe winter!) BBQ. We’re looking for someone who will complement our current dynamic and wants to be a friend as well as a housemate.

Location:

The house is 5-10 mins walk from both Balham and Tooting Bec Northern line stations. Balham also has regular National Rail services 14 mins into Victoria. It’s a short stroll to Wandsworth Common and Tooting Bec Common (and lido), or up to Clapham Common.

Balham has loads of brunch places, bars and restaurants (house favourites include Brickwood, Milk and Blackbird Bakery). There’s loads of shops, all the supermarkets, as well as a couple of gyms nearby.

Technical bits:

***Move in date flexible*** We’re currently saying 5th December for the availability date, but a week or two either way is possible.

The rent works out at £845 per month. Bills come to just under £100 (including fast reliable broadband and Sky TV) It’s a wonderful place to live, so this does feel worth it.
