Sweet Room in Charming House in Battersea

Living room - one wall is glass window, so lots of light!

Hello!

I am leaving my cute room in Battersea due to a change in my work situation. I am really sad to leave behind my amazing housemates and our warm home, so am looking for someone really friendly who will fit into the lovely atmosphere we have created here :)

You would be living with Stef, Ori, Toby, and Arno. Everyone is really kind and funny, and we often hang out as a house in the living room watching TV (which we have chrome cast for, so you can cast anything you want from your laptop/phone). Sometimes we will have little gatherings or dinners with our friends, but it's not really a huge party house, so looking for somebody social and fun but chilled out.

The house is really cool as it was actually designed by our landlord, who is very lovely. You will be renting directly from him, no agency.

There is a shared kitchen area with a 'secret room' (where the boiler and clothes washer/tumble dryer lives), and we have a stove, double fridge/freezer and lots of cupboards and storage space. Also a dishwasher, yay!

The room has a built-in wardrobe and desk, as well as lots of shelving next to the juliette window. The bed is also included. Please excuse my spiderman duvet. You also have a storage cupboard in the hallway where you can keep things like suitcases, or whatever you want, which is really useful! We have an attic you can stash things in as well.

There are 3 bathrooms, one which is a shower/toilet wetroom situation, one which is just a toilet, and then one which is just a shower. The water is nice and hot. Just outside of the bathrooms is a little roof garden which is really pretty.

We have a garden outside with a BBQ - not quite the weather for it now, but it was great in the summer.

In terms of transport, we are about a five minute walk from bus stops where you can catch the 44 directly to Victoria, which tends to take 15-20 minutes depending on traffic (I use that for work).

You can also get the 344 to Liverpool street which passes through Vauxhall and Waterloo areas. Clapham Junction station is about 22 minutes walking away, or 15 or so minutes via bus (you can get 49, 345, 319 and 344 so never short).

Battersea park station is 15 minutes walk away, and of course we also have the new Battersea Power Station Underground which is amazing!! It's about a 20 minute walk or 10-15 minutes by bus, and means you can get straight on the Northern line to central London. For example it can take only 30-35 minutes to get to Bank from our house now, so we are really well connected.

It is only a 5-10 minute walk to get to beautiful Battersea Park, where I love to go running. There is a big tescos just down the road, and several sweet cafes and charity shops along Battersea High Street.

Bills are included in the price apart from council tax and internet, which is £19 a month per person. The room is £750 a month, and you are on your own contract separate to everyone else in the house. The holding deposit is £200 once you decide you want it, and then that is taken out of the security deposit (which you will pay when you sign the contract with the landlord). So your security deposit would be a payment of £550.
