The flat
The flat is a two-bedroom / two-bathroom modern property with large living room, balcony and separate kitchen on the 4th floor of a 12 story building. The bedroom available has sole use of the main bathroom which was newly redone July 2019 (the other bedroom has an en-suite). The flat is in excellent condition, and well-maintained/looked after. The room is unfurnished however we will be selling a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bed frame (including mattress) for a small fee (these are currently in the room set up).
The flatmates
You would be sharing with a French couple (30 & 25 years old), and a little jack russell (called Jack!). You wouldn’t be required to walk the dog or look after him in any way, just be ok with living with him. Jean Michel and Laura (the couple renting the other room) are clean and tidy, and ensure that the flat is well-maintained and looked after. They’re looking for someone who also wants to treat the flat as a home, and not just a place to sleep. Both are sociable and respectful of others. They live an active lifestyle enjoying the gym and sport regularly, and cooking. Ideally, they are looking for a couple (or individual) with similar values, a full-time job (sorry, no students!), non-smokers, and fellow lovers of the Bermondsey Street area.
The area
This is the best bit – the flat is an 8-10min walk to London Bridge station (Jubilee line, Northern line and National Rail) and 10min walk to Borough station (Northern line). It is situated just behind Franco Manca on the bustling (and beautiful!) Bermondsey Street, with an array of trendy bars, restaurants and bakeries. For market lovers, it’s a five minute walk from Maltby Market, and a ten minute walk from Borough Market. You won’t go hungry or thirsty here, and it’s easy to get to anywhere with London Bridge’s excellent connections and newly regenerated rail station.

• The rent is £967.50 for the room per calendar month.
• Council tax is circa £70 for the room per calendar month.
• Broadband is circa £15 for the room per calendar month.
• Electricity is paid on a monthly basis, and works out at approximately £50-£70 per room.
• Water is included in the rent.
• The kitchen comes with all the usual necessities including fridge, freezer, microwave and washer/drier that was newly replaced in September 2017.
