Hi everyone,
I'm looking for someone to replace me in a house share, as I've recently bought a place (!).
The room available is a single room, with bedside draws, large storage cupboard and clothes hanger, plus LOTS of storage elsewhere in the house. While I was working from home I also had a little desk next to bed which was big enough for a laptop and small monitor so there is that option if you need it.
The house is down a mews-style road so is behind two gates and has a beautiful private front garden. The garden is really large and great for summer, keeping sane in lockdown and is ideal for BBQs - or growing tomato plants! There's even a parking spot that we share with next door - we also have great neighbours who we sometimes hang out with.
There are two bathrooms, each with a toilet and shower. The shower in the downstairs bathroom tends to only be used by the person living in the downstairs room
The kitchen is large and it's open-plan with the lounge. We've got two fridges (!) so that's half a fridge each as well as a big cupboard each. We tend to share pots, utensils, salt etc like most flatshares.
We're in a great area, within walking distance from Bermondsey St, Borough Market, The Shard, Guy's Hospital, Tower Bridge. There are plenty of parks, cafes, bars, restaurants and supermarkets nearby and you're in easy reach of basically any area of London.
The current flatmates are Steph, Rosanna and Olga. Olga is moving back to Serbia early June and Janne, who has lived here previously will be moving back in (always a good sign!) from Latvia. Steph and Rosanna are British and French and have a shared love all of things related to food, but between us we're interested in exploring the city, travelling, pottery, and are all generally pretty active. We met through Spareroom and get along really well. Everyone's got their own thing going on but we do like to go out for dinner and a drink or just have a chat in the evening.
Steph mostly works from home at the moment, and Rosanna sometimes works from home at the kitchen table. We're very respectful of schedules/meetings and the need to get work done, but there's usually someone around to listen to any complaints in tea breaks and lunchtimes!
Rent is £620 pcm and in addition bills are about £70pcm each. The room is available on June 13th, but may also be a little earlier and I can be flexible as I don't 100% have a move in date yet. It's pretty much a rolling contract but we would prefer someone who wants to stick around for a bit longer.
In terms of what we're looking for - we're pretty open! There's a really nice friendly atmosphere in the house at the moment and it would be great to keep that going, so if you like the sound of us we'll probably like the sound of you :).
Get in touch of you'd like to come round for a viewing at any point, or a quick video tour if you'd prefer, and we'll get something set up!
