Entire top floor of 3 level spacious house. Large double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and separate study area. Ideal for a couple. It feels like a separate flat. Despite the fact the Kitchen and living room are shared with two other people 2 cautious cats and occasionally a dog. An couple would pay an extra £50 per week.
Veiwing the rooms can be any time from now as the top floor is available now! Rental will be until sometime in the 1st week of September, with a possibility to extend indefinitely. Email if you would like to visit. The area is SE1. Rentals can start from Sunday 11th JAN. This advert will end at Christmas but rest assured the top floor is still available for rental.... It's just we don't want to be answering messages over the Festive period.
You do need to like animals, 2 cats are permanent resident and a small dog comes to stay occasionally. The cats have the upper hand. Also it would be ideal for someone who wants to live in the centre of London and take advantage of the close proximity to the Southbank, tower bridge, borough market, the Tate modern all of which are in easy walking distance. A person who likes to explore rather than party. Or for someone who works at London Bridge or anywhere south of the river that is close to the Jubilee line.
All bills included. Except council tax (band D). This would come to approx extra £20 PW. If a couple want to rent the room the rent would be an extra £40 PW so bringing the rent to £285 per week.
The kitchen has all modern conveniences, an air fryer, microwave, coffee maker, washing machine and dishwasher. large 5 ring gas hob cooker, fridge/freezer. It is a home rather than a house and has been well used and feels homely rather than like a showroom.
For example downstairs is open plan, with a large L shaped sofa that can also accommodate 8 people. Despite our best efforts to stop them the cats continue to use the sofa arms as scratching posts when we are not looking or are out of the room..
There is small south facing sunny patio area accessible through the French windows. A great place for your morning coffee. There is a sauna in the patio, but at the time of writing this is unfortunately currently out of action.
The House has great transport links. 15 mins from Bermondsey Tube (Jubilee line) 20 mins from London Bridge, train, tube and bus stations. Three bus stops all less than a minute from the house. These benefits plus the estate is a quiet sanctuary of pedestrian walkways so free from loud traffic noise.
Bermondsey Spa is a vibrant area boasting 26 Microbreweries dotted along the "Bermondsey mile" 15 of these are situated on 2 streets you pass on the way to Bermondsey Tube.
You are very close to the major tourist attractions with Tower Bridge and the Tower of London less than a 15 minute walk from the house.
