We have a double bedroom available in our two-level 3 bed/3 bath flat just off Columbia Road. Flexible move-in anytime after Dec 5th and taking over 6 months of an existing lease with option to renew annually. December is rent-free as I'll be paying through till the end of the month.
The room is a decent size at 10.5x14 ft (13 sqm), comes furnished with a King size bed, wardrobe, nightstand, shelves (if you want them) and chest of drawers. The room has a large french door that opens to a juliet balcony (we're on level 3-4 of the building, so up off the ground!).
The flat spans over two floors which gives it a nice spacious feel. It has a modern open plan kitchen with dishwasher / living room and with its big couch- it’s a great location to hang out and have a chat. We also have a full balcony downstairs but during the warmer months, we tend to spend more time on the amazing roof terrace with great views over East London and Canary Wharf (which has been great for outside space during lockdown!). There are 3 bathrooms which means that you would have one to yourself essentially. We've also recently upgraded to fibre broadband so WFH is a bit easier.
The building has a secure cycle storage and gated entrances.
You will be sharing with two lovely people, an Australian guy and a French girl both with professional jobs. Everyone is out and about quite a bit in normal times, so not necessarily crossing each other every day, but happy to share food and drink as well as a nice chat when in. Both are very friendly and relaxed so really easy to get along with!
The location is great, with markets (the Flower market, Broadway market…), bars and restaurants still open for takeaway during lockdowns, and other lovely spots (Hackney farm, Haggerston Park, London Fields, the Canal, Victoria Park) in walking distance. Both the Central line and Overground are less than a 10 minute walk away and you can easily catch a bus on either Bethnal Green Road or Hackney Road.
Monthly rent would be £828. Council tax is around £40 per month, plus bills at around £30 depending on the season (incl. broadband, energy, etc.). The deposit is £916.66.
