Lovely East London home near Vicky Park

Ad ref# 17225977

Our current flatmate Dominika is moving into her own place so we are looking for a new flatmate to move into this gorgeous East London home, located in E3 (between Hackney Wick and Bow North).

Since moving in a year ago, we have grown to love this house and turned it into a real home. We have cultivated a friendly, relaxed, communal atmosphere, and open communication is really important to us. We try to make time to hang together regularly but equally respect our individual schedules and needs. We have friends over and throw occasional dinner parties / drinks but mainly this house is our place to recharge from the hustle and bustle.

We believe the key to a good flat share is honest and respectful communication, consideration and understanding for each other.

A bit more about us:

I am Marleen (34) I am a Project Manager and currently studying part-time to become a Counsellor and Sound Therapist which is where my passion lies. I love nature, dancing, yoga, reading, connecting deeply to others, hosting a woman circle, the odd fesssstival and club night. I am always up to try new things and recently started bouldering!

My name is Síne (Sheena), I've been living in London for a year and a half. I've been living in the flat for one year, I moved to London after spending five years in Berlin. I'm a creative and I'm still finding my place in this city. Like Marleen, project management is my domain. I'm a very tidy, trustworthy, respectful housemate. Being Irish a good sense of humour comes with the territory and I'm always interested in getting to know new people. Also, being Irish means I do enjoy the 'odd' beer or two ;) I'm a liberal-minded, chilled-out, queer person with a few interesting stories to tell. I came here to immerse myself in the multi-cultural scene so I'm dead keen on learning all types of languages too.

A bit more about the house:
It’s a lovely spacious & bright three bed home with a little garden (still attempting to successfully grow veggies). On the ground floor you will find a kitted-out kitchen (massive stove, two ovens, wine fridge and dishwasher, in addition to the basics) and your own modern bathroom, on the first floor is a separate living room and your bedroom. The other rooms are on the second floor with a shared second bathroom. There is plenty of space to wfh if you wish to do so, as well as loads of communal storage space around the house (attic, under stairs, built-in cupboards, etc), and of course a place for your bike!

The total rent is £2,900 which we would split equally (966 pp) as the rooms also have roughly the same sizes and bills come to around £95 (including council tax, internet, water, electricity and gas).

We have a great relationship with the landlord and the maintenance agency - they are lovely and always respond very quickly to repair requests etc.

You will need to pass basic referencing checks, including previous landlord references, affordability checks (at least £29,000 salary) and you cannot be on probation at work.
You would be taking over the tenancy, which runs until March 2025 (potential option to extend, existing flatmates are very keen). The move-in date is tbc (and can be flexible), but will be in early/mid May.

We really want to find the right person for our home, someone that shares a community-based mindset, similar values and interests, who is liberal, open minded, in tune with themselves, a good communicator, mindful of others and knows how to clean.

If this sounds like its aligning with your plans, we would love to hear from you - please get in touch with a bit about yourself and we will be aiming to host viewings during the week of 8 April :)
