Double room available in a 2-bed, 1-bath flat in Bow, East London. The building is a grade 2 listed heritage site of an old match-making factory conversion. The room is furnished and you’ll be sharing the living space with me.

Rent: £1,300/month. Just one room is available but we could swap rooms. £1150 for the smaller room. Similar layout less storage.
Bills: approx. £170 total (Wi-Fi, water, council tax, heating – seasonal dependent)

The building has 24/7 security and concierge with genuinely one of the better setups I’ve seen in London:

Very well connected with District, Hammersmith & City, Central Line and DLR to Canary Wharf all within 5-10 minutes. Hackney Wick and Stratford around 20 minutes.

About Me:
I’m Canadian and have been living in London for just over a year. I’m active (having the gym a short walk away is huge and Vicky Park), tidy, and social but I also value home being a calm, relaxed place. Always up for a drink, cooking together, or a good conversation, but equally happy doing our own thing.

I took a two-year career sabbatical as a mechanical engineer to backpack and bartend before heading back into corporate life as a management consultant. I generally WFH Monday and Friday. I’m pretty easy-going and don’t have loads of stuff. I’d love the flat to feel more homey rather than just functional.

Looking for:
Someone respectful, clean, and friendly. Ideally also keen to explore London, have good chats, share a drink or cook together, and help keep the flat feeling chill and comfortable. I know plenty of people in the area and I’m always happy to introduce or work out/run together.

Given my backpacking roots, I do enjoy occasionally hosting friends passing through as the shared space is quite large. I would like someone open to hosting folks every now and then while of course being communicative and mindful of shared boundaries.
