The Long:
After over 2 great years, Laura and I will be moving out of our flat to head onto new adventures.

The flat is a maisonette on the 2nd and 3rd floor with a good sized kitchen and a separate living room. The kitchen has a full size fridge freezer, dishwasher and a bonus mini fridge. There’s an electric fan oven with a gas hob, and a large drum washing machine. Central heating and hot water is gas powered which is great as it’s on-demand with good pressure. The living room is nice and spacious and has a fold-out double bed - perfect for hosting guests.

We have two bedrooms available.

Bedroom 1: £626 pm

This room is the smallest in the flat but is an absolute steal for the rent you pay, given the location. This is the only room on the second floor so essentially you will have the floor to yourself. It contains a bed, a new wardrobe, a small chest of drawers and set of shelves. There is plenty of space for storage throughout the house, including the spare wardrobe on the 3rd floor, if required.

Bedroom 2: £719

This room is by far the biggest room and is at the front of the house on the 3rd floor. It’s got lots of storage and floor space: one large chest of drawers, a double wardrobe with extra door for shelving and two three drawer bedside tables. There is also under bed storage and a further wardrobe on the landing outside.

Our housemate, Johnny, is super easy going, which has made it such a nice flat to live in.

The biggest selling point of the flat is the location. Bang in the middle between Brixton and Clapham High Street. Turn one way and you have all the craziness of Brixton (POP, Brixton Food Market, lots of pubs) and turn the other way and you’re 10 mins away from huge Clapham Common which is amazing in the summer. Clapham HS is also jam packed with bars, clubs and restaurants. South of the flat is Brockwell Park (best park in London) which has a beautiful Lido. There is nothing nicer in the hot summer than an outdoor swim!

Transport wise, the flat is THE most well serviced location I’ve ever lived in. The speedy Victoria line is 10 mins away and because it’s the first stop, you’re always guaranteed a seat. 10 mins in the other direction is Clapham High Street on the Northern line, and just up the road from that is the Overground. There is also a bus outside the front door to Clapham Junction which goes direct to Gatwick, very handy. Bus wise, there’s routes to Peckham (£4.99 cinema!), The City and Shoreditch all outside the door.

We have a Lidl literally opposite the flat, a massive Tesco at the end of the road and another huge Sainsbury’s 10 mins walk away. There are also lots of little independent cafes and restaurants popping up on the street which is great.

The landlord is fantastic, he owns lots of properties and has his own team of handymen on call. It's also his full-time job so he’s very quick to respond and get things sorted. Having lived places where it’s a battle to get anything done, a good landlord like this makes a huge difference. The tenancy agreement is through Dexters so there will be a referencing check / name change process, but thankfully that’s the only time we ever have to deal with them!

Ideally we want to find people who are friendly, in full-time employment who's lived in a share before and doesn't mind doing their bit cleaning, etc.
