Room (s) available in Brixton Hill for short let

Hi there, we are looking to rent our spare room on a very short term basis from
A week to two months max but would be reviewed after a month. No couples and no pets!!!

I am an art therapist and my (French) husband Vassily is a researcher.. We're both quite socially minded and have various collaborative social projects. The house was refurbished not so long ago so is modern but has an arty feel to it.

One is a medium size lovely bright room. The other is a small sofa bed room. We are reluctant to rent out both at the same time but would perhaps consider it (although this is very unlikely unless it is for a week or so)

The house has recently been almost entirely refurbed.

Although the room would be empty (except for furnished with a bed desk and plants) The rest of the house is quite full and we don’t have much space for furniture or other stuff in other parts of the flat.

If only one room is rented out, as opposed to two, you will have your own private bathroom.

We have two pets a cat called Sylvie and a tortoise and if you are willing to look after them if we go away for week or so (food and change the litter) there will be a further negotiable rent reduction

We would like a considerate person who will respect our home and life here. We are nice normal people who work from home a lot. We can give lots of recommendations for the area and will do our best to make your room as comfortable as possible. We do require two references.

The house is very near to The White Horse and Brixton Windmill Pub. 15 mins walk from Brixton Station.
The room is available from 2nd may (but we can negotiate here) Shortler lets are also welcome.
We have a nice garden and a small allotment too x
Preference for over 27-99 year olds

We can provide bedding, towels and so forth. Ideally this would suit a PHD student or someone travelling to London for a brief period of work or similar. Non meat eaters are preferred!

The council tax band is Lambeth. Some bills will be included.
