Hello, I have a large double bedroom to rent in a bright, 65sqm flat in Brixton Hill. The flat is conveniently located on the main road, with a local Sainsbury’s, local cafe, few corner shops, and a bus stop connecting the flat with central London just steps away from the building. It is also 10mins walking distance from Streatham Hill train station, 20min walk from Brixton station (or 10mins by bus) and Brockwell Park is just 10-15mins walking distance.

The flat is on the third floor and has two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and a large shared living room. The room comes partly furnished with a bed and a wardrobe.

My current flatmate will be moving out on the 3rd of September so I’m looking for someone to renew the contract with for the next 12 months. You’d be signing a new tenancy agreement for at least a year (September ‘24 to September ‘25, with option to renew again). The flat is run by an agency so once you decide to take the room, the agency will need to run their checks (including references) and go through the necessary paperwork with you.

The rent doesn’t include bills. The bills are all split 50/50 and include the following: council tax £140, WiFi £30, water £46 and electricity £120 (we have an electric boiler for heating/water so no gas). Deposit should be around £950 (will need to double check exact amount with the agent).

About me:
I’m 29 originally from Poland, I’m a professional currently qualifying as an architect and work for an architecture practice (I go to the office every day). I enjoy theatre, art galleries and socialising. I like to go out but equally I like to spend an afternoon on the sofa with a good book.

I’m looking for someone laid back. I’m serious about having and maintaining a clean living environment, so I’m definitely looking for someone who can keep up with my standard of cleanliness. I’d prefer someone who also goes to the office everyday, otherwise we’d need to work out a fairer split of bills.
