Hello, potential new housemate!
We have a lovely double room in a huge Victorian house on a quiet road in Brixton, available from the 10th of June.
Our current housemate Charlotte is moving out to live with her partner and we are looking for someone like-minded, aged 30+, to move in.
It will be a sublet until the end of August; after that if you wish to stay, there’s the chance to start a yearly contract with our landlord.
THE HOUSE and THE ROOM:
The house is a 4 bed, it has a large bathroom and a second toilet, with a nice spacious living/dining room.
We have a laundry room where there is a washing machine and a tumble drier.
Your room has a lovely view over the garden.
Please note that the room comes with wardrobe and a little white desk (not the one in the pics) and a new bed will be provided by our landlord.
TRANSPORTS/SHOPS:
We’re 15 minutes walk away from Brixton and Clapham North stations. Lots of buses that go to/from central London and Clapham Junction too.
Tesco and Sainsbury’s Local are about 5 minutes walk away.
LANDLORD and TENANTS:
Our landlord lives in the States but he’s super responsive and helpful.
Caterina (33) is self-employed while Sarah (35) and Lizzie all work in 9-5 professional jobs, and we are looking for someone with a similar lifestyle.
We all get along in the house but we also have different schedules and busy lives so there’s a nice balance of us being in together, and out and about.
IDEAL NEW HOUSEMATE:
We are looking for a kind, clean, chilled person who’s keen to be part of the house. Similarly, we want someone who is respectful of other’s space and keeps noise to a minimum.
We love films, music, staying active, having occasionally friends over for dinner... overall a pretty chilled and happy house!
ABOUT RENT/BILLS:
Rent is £675 per month; bills vary depending whether we’re in Winter or in Summer but average at £170-£200 per month (this includes a cleaner who comes bi-weekly to clean the communal areas).
This is a 3-month sublet and costs are fixed until 31/08/2024.
We’re looking for someone who's able to pay rent from 10/06 (in advance for June) which is the date when moving will be possible. (A proportion will be calculated for those 10 days and deducted from the first month.)
