My housemate of three years (we lived together at uni) has decided to move in with his girlfriend… selfish, right? Only joking 😄

So I’m now looking for someone great to move in and take over his room. It’s genuinely a fantastic deal for London in a really lovely, quiet spot.

I’ve lived in London for about eight years and have been in this flat for over two years now. I can honestly say it’s the best place I’ve lived in during my time here, which is why I’ve happily stayed put.

A bit about me. I’m friendly, sociable and (I’d like to think) pretty easy to live with. I love music, going out with friends and making the most of London, but I also appreciate downtime and my own space. I work from home around 2 to 3 days a week, so the flat has a nice balanced weekday vibe.

The flat itself is a well kept, comfortable two person home. The room available is relatively spacious with plenty of room to make it your own. There is one shared bathroom, a reasonably sized lounge that we both use to relax in, and a fully functional kitchen with all the usual amenities.

It’s not a party flat, more of a chilled and tidy home that we both look after. That said, I’m definitely not uptight. I enjoy a few beers and completely get that people have friends over from time to time. For me it’s just about keeping a good balance and being respectful of the space and each other. Come the weekend, live your life.

Location wise, we are about 15 minutes outside the main part of Brixton with excellent access to the Victoria line. The street is very quiet and feels safe, with a school and church nearby, but you are still close to great pubs, restaurants and shops when you want them. The building is three storeys with tenants above and below us, and we are lucky to have genuinely lovely neighbours and an independent landlord who has been great to deal with.

I’m looking for someone like minded who is clean, respectful and easygoing. Totally open on gender and very happy with someone social who is up for the occasional chat or pub trip, but equally comfortable if you value your own space too. As it is just the two of us living here, getting the right fit matters.

Costs are £725 per month in rent and bills are roughly £250 per month.

You would be taking over my current housemate’s place on the existing tenancy, which we signed about six months ago for one year.

This is the first time I will be living with someone I did not already know, so I would really like to get to know you a bit first. Ideally we would have a quick call or grab a coffee and see if the chemistry feels right.

If this sounds like your kind of place, drop me a proper message and tell me a bit about yourself. Looking forward to chatting.
