Hello! We are a friendly, easygoing household in a quiet corner of Islington, looking for a new housemate to join our home. To maintain the current house balance, we are looking for a male professional (no students, please) who is clean, considerate, and keen to settle into a relaxed environment.
The Room: A bright, spacious double room that catches plenty of natural sunlight. The room also features a handy annexed wardrobe/storage cabinet built into the room.
Room Furnishing & Flexibility: The property is officially let unfurnished, which is great if you have or want to buy your own pieces. However, we have optional furniture ready to go including a comfortable bed, and wardrobe. You are welcome to use these or bring/buy your own. Note: As one of our current housemates is moving between rooms within the house, the specific furniture pieces may differ slightly from those shown in the photos.
Bathrooms: A main shared bathroom with a bathtub and integrated shower, plus a convenient guest toilet on the lower floor.
Location: Situated on the top floor alongside two other bedrooms.
The House: Tucked away in a peaceful, leafy pocket of Islington, our home offers the perfect escape from the city bustle while keeping everything within reach:
Commuting: A short walk to the Piccadilly Line (Caledonian Rd), Overground (Caledonian & Barnesbury), and Victoria Line (Highbury & Islington).
Nature: Highbury Fields and several local parks are just minutes away.
Amenities: A great selection of local shops, cafes, and pubs nearby.
Communal Lounge: A cosy space perfect for post-work catch-ups or hosting small dinners (the space seats up to 4 people).
The Garden: We have a large garden that is a real highlight in the summer. We use the main half as our communal social area, perfect for lunch in the sun or barbeques. Because the other side sits directly in front of a downstairs bedroom with large sliding doors, we treat that section with a bit more discretion to respect that housemate’s privacy. We manage the garden maintenance ourselves and expect everyone to pull their weight to keep it tidy and usable to avoid adding a gardener bill.
Kitchen: Fully equipped and plenty of storage. We have two large fridges and everyone gets their own dedicated cupboard space.
The Housemates: We are all professionals aged 30+. We enjoy a social house culture—think the occasional shared takeaway and a bottle of wine and having occasional guests and romantic partners over—but we also deeply value our own downtime and personal space. We take pride in keeping the house and garden tidy and are looking for someone with a similar "clean-as-you-go" mindset.
