Hello! Amy and myself (Kevin) are looking for a new person to join us in leafy Camberwell from now. I am 34, identify as cis-gay, and work in construction safety management in south-east London. I enjoy art, going out with friends, cooking, travel and exercising. Amy is 28, works in healthcare in London, is keen on the occasional run and swim, enjoys meeting friends but also loves books and a night in. We are looking fo a down-to-earth, fun person to join us at Wilson Road.
We are both friendly, relaxed, clean (but not obsessive) and LGBT+ friendly. The landlady has stated she does not accept any prospective tenants that are on Universal Credit (benefits).
We live in an upstairs flat with several sets of stairs which unfortunately makes it unsuitable for persons with accessibility requirements. There are three bedrooms in the property, a spacious bathroom, living area and adjoining kitchen (with dishwasher)!
The room is situated on the second floor of the property with a small enclave suitable to store larger belongings or fit a desk. The room is furnished with cupboard, desk, bed and side-table. Deposit: £875; Rent: £700 pcm. Bills are roughly £85 per month.
The flat is moments away from Camberwell High Street with a variety of pubs (Camberwell Arms, Pidgeon, Tiger) and restaurants (Silk Road, Nandine, Theo’s Pizza), there are five supermarkets (Co-Op, Lidl, Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsbury’s) within ten minutes walking distance. Burgess Park and Brockwell Park are both short distances by bus for all your summer sunbathing needs. We also have Peckham just a 15-minute walk with Frank’s Café for endless rooftop summer drinking, art markets and a surplus of delicious restaurants.
Trains: Denmark Hill (Overground/National Rail) – 10-minute walk; Oval (Northern Line) – 15-minute bus; Elephant and Castle – 20-minute bus; Vauxhall (Victoria Line/National Rail) – 20-minute bus.
Buses: 12, 36, 171, 185, 345, 436, N136
What are we after? Living in London can be tough and we like to think that we offer a friendly but relaxed vibe, however, we are looking for someone who does not mind hanging out when at home, doesn’t mind popping to the pub for a cheeky pint, or can sit on ‘Hungover Sundays’ together and watch repeats of Brooklyn 99, the Office or Gavin and Stacey. Please no housemate-ghosts.
If this sounds like your cup-of-tea, then direct message us with a brief description of yourself, if you fit the “at risk group*” and we will get back to you shortly.
