I’m currently staying in a stunning new apartment in a secure tower just a 5min walk away from Canary Wharf station and with South Quay (DLR) station just outside.
The room is a great size, fully furnished with a double bed, a spacious built-in wardrobe and an extra chest of drawers. A well placed double-glazed window tops off the room with views overlooking the Canary Wharf skyline! Its a bargain at 910 a month. My current flatmates are friendly professionals, one in banking and one in engineering. They are both very tidy, clean and we keep the flat tidy and calm, with a cleaner coming bi-weekly. Both are very personable and respectful of personal space, regularly interacting but mindful of privacy. The person taking over my room should get along with both with no issues. One room is en-suite meaning you’ll only ever share the bathroom with one person. The kitchen is also high-spec with washing machine/dryer, microwave and cooler/oven all new. We have a great sized living room which also has access to the balcony on two sides, with an even more impressive view across London (tip: arrange an evening viewing to see for yourself).
The flat has 24/7 security and concierge, a dlr station down the road, a Tesco and dry cleaners less than a minute away and a big supermarket sized Asda 10 min walk away. Canary Wharf station is a 5 min walk. 2 Gyms are a within a 5min walk away. Theres also an on-site rooftop fitness space and a great greenery just in the development. All around it’s an unbelievable place and I’ve loved living here so I would be happy to show it off and have someone great take over if they like what they see as much as I did!
Bills are not included but with the council tax, along with the aggregated utilities which are capped (incl. heating and electric etc) it works out very cheap - so no unwanted gas/electric bills. We have super fast BT internet. The whole flat apart from my room has wooden floors so it’s super easy to clean. No pets allowed. The deposit is £1083 (not £1800!) and the new flatmate would be taking over my lease subject to passing all the referencing and checks.
There is a built in storage space in the hall for boxes or suitcases etc if you need it. We have 24/7 access to report anything that’s broken in the flat and we have an assigned account manager who always deals with everything ASAP. The concierge also has a separate app on which you can communicate about deliveries/guest coming over etc, and are very friendly to liaise with.
There are also two separate rooftop spaces within the building, one indoor ‘winter garden’ fitted with table tennis and a pool table, and another outdoor, perfect for sunny days, again with views across London.
Various restaurants and bars are a 5min walk away, including rooftop bar Bokan.
