Hey :) I’m Keisi and I’ve lived in this flat for almost 3 years. My flatmate has lived here one year before me and is now moving out. The flat is located in Boardwalk Place, with a beautiful balcony by the canal. It’s a lovely quiet location and 5 minutes away from many restaurants in Canary Wharf. This is the larger bedroom of the two. It is ensuite, it has a large wardrobe with mirrors. The flat is east facing so we get the sun until around 2pm in the summer, which is perfect for tanning in the balcony.
About me: I’m a data engineer in a tech company. I’m friendly, I come from Albania and I have been in the UK for 10 years. I like to go out for food or easy drinks with my friends, I regularly go to the gym (Third space 5 minutes from our flat), I love music, I love dancing (French rock iykyk). I love the sea, I love to swim. I’m just now trying out joining a weekly volleyball thing. I’d love to start doing some more activities, would be fun if maybe we share some interests and could go to some of those together. I really value my relationships with people. The flat is a home for me. I’m looking for a friend, someone who wants to be in a home, I don’t want to just be sharing space. I’d love for you to essentially be a kind positive person. It would be great if we share some interests. I like eating dinner together if our schedules align. We don’t have to cook together of course but I do enjoy doing that if we like the same food (or alternate cooking for each other).
If you are in a relationship, it would be great if you balance out the days your partner stays here, more than 2-3 days is probably too much.
Bills are about £250pcm each. On the price I’ve listed here, I still haven’t discussed the new contract with the landlord but there is a small chance the price is slightly higher, though I don’t expect that to be the case. On the date, that’s a little flexible. My current flatmate hasn’t found his new place yet but that’s the date he’s aiming for. If you need the place asap, this probably isn’t for you.
We have a cleaner who comes bi-weekly and I want to keep that going. If you don’t want your areas cleaned that’s completely up to you but the common areas will be cleaned and that will cost about £19 each. I don’t like having set cleaning schedules between us. We keep the place tidy all the time as best we can. If the rubbish is full, whoever sees it does it. There’s a dishwasher but for pots and pans, ideally they don’t linger around for more than 1-2 days. I’m not super ocd about the place being always tidy, there are times when we are both busy, but ideally it stays more or less tidy. I sometimes smoke cigarettes but always in the balcony, no smoking inside the house if you do.
The Elizabeth line is a lovely perk. It’s 8’ walk from the flat. The jubilee line is something similar maybe 10’.
Though not a deal breaker, I do find myself connecting better with international people.
Please message me if this sounds like somewhere you’d want to live in. I hear it gets hectic when you post here but I will try my best to respond to everyone. Excited to meet you:))
