2-Month Let July/August Big Room on Clapham Common

The Room

Hiya, my name is Felicity and I am looking to let my lovely room in Clapham for 7 weeks from 2 July to 21 August.

I will be be leaving all my furniture, as well as some belongings. However, there will be plenty of room for all your things. I can also provide bedding, towels and dressing gown for your stay.

The room is light and airy with a big window, has black out curtains, a comfy armchair, a VERY comfy mattress, and looks out to the garden. It's a nice quiet room at the back of the house, great for a good night's sleep!

The House

The house is located on a quiet, residential street. A Victorian terraced property, it's very spacious and never feels crowded even with 6 of us living here. You'll share a bathroom with two other people, with a bath/shower combo. And there is a second bathroom with shower upstairs if needed too.

Downstairs you will find a large living/dining room, and then a big kitchen/diner that leads into the garden. The garden is a real bonus in London and we have a little bbq and seating out there which is great in the summer.

The house has all the amenities: a shared fridge, a washing machine, a dryer, a dishwasher, TV, air fryer etc. We are lucky that it stays fairly cool in summer too, being a terraced property.

All bills are included in the month's rent, as well as our weekly cleaner, Carly.

Total rent: £1200pm (£2100 for full 7 weeks)
Upfront deposit: £1200
Security deposit: £300

Deposit to secure the room is £1200 (the first month’s rent) up front, then the rest of the rent for the full stay is due on 2nd July plus the £300 security deposit. The £300 will be returned to you on September 3rd providing no damages (which I'm sure won't be needed!).

The Area

3 min walk from lots of bus routes including: 87, 37, 35, 77, 156, 345, 137 taking you to central London and nearby areas.
10-15 min walk from Clapham Junction Station (direct trains to Gatwick, Victoria, Waterloo).
15-20 min walk from Clapham Common Station (Northern Line -- the black one).
8 min walk to huge Asda, 10 min to Lidl, M&S food or Waitrose supermarkets.
4 min walk to local Co-op convenience store.

The Common (a big park) itself is right at the end of our road, amazing for sunbathing in summer, and it's a 5k round the Common so great for running. We are also a 25-min walk from Battersea Park -- one of London's best parks!

If you don't know Clapham, it's full of lots of independent bars and restaurants to try -- the housemates will be able to give recommendations for sure! You can also check out what's on at the Battersea Arts Centre round the corner, and there are lots of shops on the Northcote Road.

The Housemates

I'll be leaving you in the capable hands of my fab housemates for the month:

Siobhan and Robert (25): Our resident Scottish couple are both architects and work in the city 4/5 days a week. They love popping out for a coffee and exploring different areas of London.
Jasper (25): A super sporty guy who is currently training for a triathlon but always up for beers! Amazing cook too 👌.
Jenna (26): Lovely girl who works in the city 4/5 days a week. Always around for a chat over dinner and a glass of wine. Has travelled a lot working on yachts and enjoys hiking too.
Jasmine (27): Jenna’s sister! Also works 4/5 days in the city, loves a chat, a fit check and a wine!

We are a friendly house who enjoy watching the odd movie together, hanging out in the kitchen, and sometimes taking a trip to the pub. It's a well looked after homely house, and we look forward to welcoming you :).

Deposit payable in advance to secure the room. Rest of rent + security payable on July 2nd. Security paid back upon my return (providing no damages). Signed written agreement can be provided :).
