Hello everyone,

Up for offer is a fantastic en-suite room, right in the heart of Clapham Old town. Unfortunately (for me) my fantastic flat mate Lucy has just bought a place and will be moving out at the end of November.

A bit about me, I'm a laid back, busy professional working in Sports Journalism, 9-5, but some late nights and weekends. In my spare time, I like to spend weekends exploring London, chilling in the flat or getting away. During the week I try and get out as much as possible, theatre, gigs, exhibitions, gym, playing football or seeing friends.

Ideally, I'm looking for someone to get along with first and foremost, someone who doesn't sweat the small stuff but isn't messy. I'd love someone who's up for hanging out every now and again, watching telly, going for a drink, cooking, the normal stuff. The flat is a really positive, homely environment and I'd like to ensure that's maintained with the right person. LGBT friendly, love a boogie in the Two Brewers.

The flat has recently been decorated and had new bathrooms put in which are lovely and modern. There is a spacious living room with a large corner sofa and wide screen TV, which has Now TV, Netflix and Amazon Prime video. We have a lovely dual aspect kitchen/diner with a cushioned corner seat below one of the windows.

The bedroom on offer is very bright with an east facing window so you get the sunlight first thing in the morning. It’s on the quiet side of the flat, so it’s very peaceful too. The huge ensuite has been fitted to a very high standard and has a large bath and shower. The room comes fully furnished, and there is plenty of storage space including a large chest of drawers, small wardrobe, wide screen TV and also a second wardrobe/coat cupboard of your own (in the hall).

Clapham Old Town is a brilliant part of London in Zone 2. There's plenty going on with numerous restaurants, pubs, bars, the popular picture house cinema and of course the fantastic Clapham Common on the doorstep.

There’s a small Sainsbury’s and Waitrose under 5 mins walk from the flat, and a larger Sainsbury’s a further 5 minutes walk away. Gail’s bakery is next door to the flat, which we’ve found to be very handy too! On Saturday mornings, Venn St Market is just around the corner from the flat and offers amazing street food, groceries and flowers.

We have great local transport links with the 88 and 417 starting their routes outside our flat, we’re also a 5-10 minute walk away from Clapham Common tube station (Northern Line) and 20 minute walk from Stockwell Station (Victoria and Northern Line).

The room will be available to move into from the end of November, start of December, but I'm happy for someone to move their stuff in earlier.

Bills are £125 a month and that includes council tax, water, gas and electric. We also have a cleaner and super fast broadband which we'd split, this comes to a further £26 a month each, but only needed as and when.
