Double room in bright, spacious Clapham North flat

Sitting Room

We’re Joy and Lucy, and we’re looking for a third person to take a room in our flat from September 12th.

The flat is a lovely split-level (1st and 2nd floors of a Victorian terrace), 3 bed in Clapham North. We’re a 5-minute walk from Clapham North tube, and a 10-minute stroll to Stockwell and Brixton stations. The footbridge at the end of the road takes you straight into Brixton, and Clapham Common is also just up the road. It’s a great location with a lovely pub 2 minutes’ walk away (The Landor).

THE FLAT
Three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 en suite), separate living room and kitchen. You would be sharing the main bathroom with mostly only one other person. Lucy has been in the flat for nearly 3 years, and Joy moved in 18 months ago. We have a big fridge-freezer and washing machine, no tumble dryer, but plenty of space in the sitting room for a clothes horse. The flat is light and airy and is in good nick, and we like to think we’ve made it a real home in the time we’ve been here..!

We rent with a private landlord, so no annoying agency fees. He’s great whenever there’s an issue, but otherwise is quite hands off.

THE ROOM…
The room is the smallest of the three and the rent is split to reflect this. It comes with a double bed, big built-in wardrobe, a chest of drawers and bedside table. It’s towards the back of the house, so is nice and quiet, and gets lovely sun in the morning.

THE FLATMATES…
We’re close friends and have lived together before. Lucy (27) works in PR/comms and comes with some excellent floristry skills. Joy (28) is a nurse and all-round babe. We enjoy the classic mix of nights in with some gin/wine and cooking together, but also have busy social lives outside of the flat and we’re often away at weekends.

YOU…
We are hoping to find someone who is looking for a proper home and some new friends, rather than just a room to crash in.
