The largest room in our huge townhouse, this en-suite loft room is large enough to have a separate sleeping and living / work area. It has its own 3-piece bathroom with a huge corner tub to soak in and plenty of light.
At 5.86m x 3.4m (plus extra storage space) it's practically two rooms in one compared to most properties, complete with built-in wardrobes and comes with a few pieces of furniture.
Please note:
Currently there is a Superking bed but this will be moving out with the current tenant, so you would need your own bed (a double bed frame is available and the option to purchase a mattress if required).
- - Bills - -
These are approximately £80/£100 on top depending on summer/winter and include water, gas, electricity, council tax, fibre broadband, TV licence, and a cleaner twice a month for the communal areas and the bathrooms (so your en suite but not bedroom, that's your responsibility).
- - Lease / Tenancy - -
After 5 & 1/2 years here I am leaving for pastures new. You would be taking over my tenancy which runs until June 29th 2021, with the option to renew.
I would be prepared to sublet the room from January 30th whilst the paperwork is sorted but you will need to pass tenant referencing in full.
- - The property - -
We have loads of communal space as we have a separate living room, separate dining room and fully equipped kitchen-diner. Like a good movie or TV series? So do we! You can watch those on the 50" 4K TV, complete with Netflix, Apple TV with Amazon Prime, plus a sound system. We also have the fastest broadband in the land, 200mb+ fibre optic.
The dining room is equipped with what is locally dubbed 'The Banquet Table' for all your dining needs, especially the odd dinner party that we have from time to time, fit for any king or queen.
We have a fully equipped kitchen with two fridge/freezers, microwave, gas hob/oven, washing machine and various other gadgets and gizmos such as an air-fryer and sous vide (how posh!)
Out the back is a large 20m (66') garden which has housed more than the odd BBQ when the good old British weather allows us to.
The house, split over multiple floors, has an additional communal room (The "Decks Room") complete with a large desk-come-bed (StudyBed – a pull down double bed that's ideal for guests staying from time to time).
In total there are 3 bathrooms (two of which are en suite) and an additional toilet.
Technically this could be regarded as a seven bedroom house but we keep it as four people living here very comfortably indeed.
- - The household - -
Housemates are super chilled, 30-somethings and are all very easy to get along with, working professionals.
We're a sociable and fun bunch but are also busy professionals, so never in each other's way. We like the occasional housemates dinner, film night or visit to a local haunt, but you're more likely to hang out with a different one of us a couple of times a week than all be at home and in the same room fighting over the TV remote.
Given the house is over four floors we are never under each other's feet.
We keep the house tidy, have a cleaner who comes every two weeks and we are staunch with our recycling.
We are somewhat reserved during the weeknights, with occasional exceptions, and we enjoy our weekends.
