We're looking for a new flatmate to join a quiet, well-kept 2-bed 2-bath flat in one of Clapton's loveliest pockets — right along the canal, surrounded by open green space, and with an almost unfairly peaceful atmosphere for somewhere so well-connected. The room is available now and we're hoping to get someone settled in as soon as possible, ideally around 1 May.

The room is a good-sized single with its own en-suite bathroom, and comes furnished with a bed and bedside table. There's also a desk and chair currently in the room — I'm in the process of selling these, but if you're interested, I'd be happy to discuss options for the right tenant!

The flat itself is in a well-maintained building with a secure coded entry, in-unit washer and dryer, and a neighbourly community of surrounding apartments. It's all-electric (no gas), and bills — electricity, water, and internet — are paid separately.

The location is genuinely hard to beat. You're steps from the towpath with the canal on your doorstep, a short stroll from the Princess of Wales pub, and surrounded by the kind of vast, leafy parks that make you forget you're in London. Chatsworth Road is nearby for idyllic independent coffee shops, Saturday markets, and neighbourhood charm. It's a serene slice of Hackney — and yet the Clapton Overground station is just a 10–15 minute walk, keeping you well-connected to the rest of the city.

Who we're looking for
Honestly, someone easy and enjoyable to share a space with. We're not after a best friend (though that'd be a bonus) — just someone chilled, tidy, and considerate. Keeping shared areas clean and organised matters to us, and love open communication.

We tend to get on well with people who have a creative streak — that doesn't mean you need to work in a creative field, just that you have some curiosity and a bit of a life outside of work.

One thing worth knowing: the other flatmate keeps a fairly unpredictable sleeping schedule — not out of any disregard for others, that's just how it goes. So if you're a light sleeper who needs military-precision quiet, this might not be ideal - so preferably someone who's generally unfazed by a bit of background noise at odd hours, will fit right in.
