THE WHITE ROOM is in Hackney, London E5 (Zone 2), on the ground floor of our home, once a Victorian merchant’s villa. This well proportioned BEDROOM offers a generous living space with Habitat king-size bed, large table, three-metre high ceilings, original polished wood floors, ample storage and bay windows to the street. A SEPARATE PRIVATE SHOWER/TOILET is on a half-landing. The west-facing ground floor room is exceptionally light. Also included is the use of a SHARED KITCHEN (one other user) with fridge, microwave, hotplate, toaster, washer/dryer and ironing facilities, plus access to a rear ROOF TERRACE for dining and relaxing. This is shared with the owners and all occupants of the house and offers views of mature gardens and the Lea Valley in the heart of East London. Heating, electricity, council tax, water, broadband wi-fi and in the cost of the room. Single person preferred.

THE WHITE ROOM is one of two spaces available to rent in our home, the other being THE BLUE ROOM, which is let separately and has its own ensuite bathroom.

We are three minutes walk from Co-op and Tesco supermarkets and convenience stores on Upper Clapton Road. The house is secure, light and airy with gardens at front and back. The area is within easy reach of Dalston, Hoxton, Stoke Newington and Finsbury Park and is surprisingly green, ideal for walks and exercise and with easy access to the Lee Valley Nature Reserve, the Walthamstow Wetlands, riding, rowing and tennis facilities and the Queen Elizabeth Park. The house is in Zone 2, just a few minutes walk from buses and Clapton Overground station, with a 12 minute journey time to Liverpool Street, providing superb access to all other parts of central London.
We are live-in landlords with our own work/living space and kitchen. The house has recently been refurbished inside and out and we are looking for someone who respects the house while enjoying quiet, clean beautiful surroundings. In return we offer a warm welcome. The room is offered under a Lodgers Licence Agreement.

A: Apart from the kitchenette and the roof terrace, there is no common living area. The White Room is generous, with two armchairs, bed and an impressively large table.

A: The room is designed for single occupants but guests are welcome for short stays.

A: There is a chest of drawers as well as multiple shelves with storage boxes and hangers. The kitchen has cupboards for food and crockery.

Q: Can I store my bicycle indoors?
There is a Hackney Council Secure Bicycle Hanger opposite our home. Alternatively you can store it in your room.
