Large Double Room in Dalston

Hello! I’m looking for a flatmate to move into my two-bedroom flat with me. I’ve lived here for just over a year, and my current flatmate is moving out to live with friends, so I’m looking to fill his room.

The room is available 1st June 2026.
Room is unfurnished, save for the bed which stays. You can arrange for it to be removed if needed.

About the flat
This is a small, cosy, lived-in flat - a proper home - and I’m keen to keep that vibe :)

The flat has:
* Two bedrooms (yours is pictured here)
* One shared bathroom (toilet + shower)
* A shared living room / kitchen
* A small outside space (it’s basically a cubicle but better than nothing!)

Because of the cosy size and the single bathroom, this isn’t really a flat where we regularly have friends over or host gatherings - it’s more of a calm base to come home to, which I love :)

About me
I’m Amanda, I’m 35 and I work full-time in the music / creative industry; mostly office-based, with a fairly steady weekday routine. I am social, but honestly not overly outgoing. Definitely independent :) I do work a lot so I really value my down-time.

At home I’m usually:
* Watching TV on the sofa
* Cooking something simple
* Working on my laptop / at my desk in my room
* Or just decompressing quietly

I’m tidy and considerate. Communication and consideration are important to me - and to sharing the space.

This flat would suit someone who has some similar values to me, such as:
* Has their own routine and values a peaceful, shared home
* Is clean, respectful, and proactive about shared spaces
* Is mindful about noise, timing, and the shared bathroom ;)
* Is happy keeping guests to a minimum (the space just isn’t built for regular hosting)
* Has a good balance outside the flat - this setup isn’t ideal for someone working from home 24/7
* Travels occasionally or is out and about a fair bit - that balance works really well here

Monthly Bills per person (approx):
* Insurance: £10.50
* Council tax: £63.50
* Water: £24.00
* Gas / electric: £58.00
* Wifi: £22.50
* Household essentials: £10.00 (approx)
—>Approx £188.50/mo per person

This isn’t a “lodging” situation - it’s a shared home, and I’m looking for someone who wants that too.

Also important to note: there’s no real storage in the flat.
